Admission requirements


Standardised language requirements:

  • English as a primary language of instruction: automatic acceptance.
  • TOEFL 513 /IELTS 5.5/oral examination, TOEFL IBT test score of 66 or any standardised international English language exam corresponding with Hungarian B2 at the bachelors’ level and C1 at masters’ level.
  • If there is no standardised English exam, the University relies on the Agent’s assessment as well as on the Skype interview. If the student does not comply with the language requirements he/she will be recommended to enroll in a language prep course. If there are no professional reservations concerning the student’s admission after having completed the language prep course admission is automatic to the chosen bachelors programme.

Professional requirements:

  • Masters studies: Bachelors’ degree relevant to the Masters' studies, English language compliance.
  • Bachelors’ studies: Copy of secondary/high school graduation (maturity) results, copy of courses studied, English language CV, 1 motivational letter, 1 academic (teacher’s/professor’s) reference. In the fields of engineering, agricultural and business and administration studies mathematics end results will be examined.

The Centre of International Programmes pre-screens all applications that will be forwarded to the Faculties for professional decision making.

Formal requirements:

  • Only students above the age of 18 are admitted!
  • Documents to be submitted to complete the application:
  • application form completely filled out (Please ensure that your personal data appear correctly, as shown on your passport)
  • a copy of your passport
  • an authorized copy of the secondary high school diploma or BSc degree depending on the relevant application
  • a recent photograph
  • curriculum vitae (autobiography/resume) in English
  • Motivational Letter in English
  • Academic Reference letter in English

Application fee: EUR 100 (non-refundable)

An application will be considered if the application fee has been transferred to the bank account of the University and all the required documents are submitted, as detailed at the point of Agent’s reductions.
NOTE: NOTARIZED ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL WRITTEN DOCUMENTS, EXCEPT YOUR PASSPORT. Notarization is necessary for every school leaving document, even if the original is in English.

Registration deadline for 2018/19 academic year: 31 May, 2018

Official information on admission received by the student: Continuous, depending on the date of the registration, latest by 15 July
