Master’s Programme Supply Chain Management – full-time study


Outstanding learning opportunity
From 2017 February begins our new Supply Chain Management master programme. The central feature of the Programme is its integrated approach concerned logistics, business management, and supply chain. The Programme covers a broad range of subject areas in disciplines including logistics, transportation, forwarding,  purchasing, distribution, global economics, decision sciences, research methodology, etc. By the most of the courses students can receive input from ‘experts by experience’ in strong collaboration with the industrial partners of our university. Project-work in small group on real cases is a relevant part of the programme. Beyond the courses trainee programmes, practice-focussed research, student grants, competitions are provided for the students by the academic and business organizations.
Excellent staff
Our professors enjoy strong collaborative relationships with industrual and service partners from automotive and other technology-based sectors, also from logistics, shipment, transportation, forwarding companies. They practice their subject areas through a wide range of activities, including a combination of practice in consultancy and advisory work, research, and membership of relevant national and international organisations.

Carreer opportunity:

The excellence of Supply Chain Management master programme is evidenced by the National Accreditation Commitee, and high levels of student employability. More than 90% of our graduate students go on to work and/or further study to Doctoral School within six months of getting master degree. The master supply chain managers are demanded, also in SME-s and global multinational companies. There are a lot of job opportunity in local and international firms in Hungary and wherever in the world with the competitive logistics and supply chain skills. The starting salaries are definitely higher than the average of other beginners (Leavers Follow Survey from 2012).

Course structure:

The Programme contains 4 semesters (with two intakes per year): between February and May, and between September and December. The total number of credits needed to complete the programme is 120 credits.

Teaching staff:
Lectures by invited experts from the business world are added to the regular teaching sessions.

Application and Admission:
The programme will take a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 30 students. You can follow the actual call for the program in the news on the main webpage.

Your application will be considered if you transfer the application fee to the bank account of the University and submit all the required documents.

Documents to be submitted to complete the application:

  • application form completely filled out. (Please ensure that your personal data appear correctly, as shown on your passport, because that will be the form in which they will appear on your transcripts and degree certificates.)
  • a copy of your passport
  • an authorized copy of a BSc degree from any higher education already completed that is relevant to your application
  • an authorized copy of the general certificate of your education (G.C.E.) or any equivalent secondary high school diploma
  • one of the following indications of English-language proficiency:
    (a) TOEFL IBT test score of 90, or PBT score 550,
    (b) Cambridge First Certificate "B",
    (c) ELTS score of 5.0 (required for M.Sc. applications)
    (d) any, whith the above listed exams equivalent certificate

NOTE: NOTARIZED ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL WRITTEN DOCUMENTS, EXCEPT YOUR PASSPORT. Notarization is necessary for every school leaving document, even if the original is in English.

All tuition and fees for the first semester must be paid prior to enrolment. At the time of enrolment, you will need to present proof that you have paid your first academic year fee via bank transfer. In case of late or partial payment of tuition fees, the University reserves the right to refuse enrolment.

Credit requirements for Admission to the marketing ma Programme

For the admission to the Marketing MA programme, 30 credits are required in a special field of knowledge determined by the Hungarian Accreditation Committee.

Based on this regulation, the applicant should attach a certificate showing successful completion of the following courses (a total of at least 30 credits and the minimum shown in each group):

Basics of methodology

8–12 credits

Basics of theoretical economics
     International economics

10 credits

Basics of Business

10 credits

Basics of Social Sciences

10 credits

Basic knowledge of the specialisation (professional knowledge)
Business economics
     Corporate finance
     Human resources

15 credits

Previous coursework will be reviewed, and the applicant will get a decision about the adequacy such coursework.
