Another class graduates from the double-degree MBA programme of SZE and the URI

Those who have completed the double-degree English-language MBA programme of Széchenyi István University and the University of Rhode Island in the United States, accredited by one of the most prestigious accreditation organisations, have gained the highest level of business knowledge.

In September 2020, Széchenyi István University and the University of Rhode Island in the US launched a double-degree, English-language, four-semester MBA programme, at the end of which students will receive degrees from both institutions.

A special feature of the programme is that it is open to people with a bachelor's degree who have ambitions in business or institutional management and want to accelerate their career path with this world-class training. The high quality of the programme is demonstrated by the fact that it is accredited by AACSB, one of the oldest and most prestigious international professional accreditation bodies. Only five percent of business schools internationally can claim this accreditation.

Students of the second graduating year received their diplomas at a ceremony held at the Budapest Innovation and Training Centre of Széchenyi István University. Dr. Shaw Chen, Dean of the College of Business at the University of Rhode Island, said in his welcoming speech that each student deserves the warmest congratulations for their efforts to achieve the highest level of professional excellence over the two years. He wished them big ideas, bold plans, innovative and a constantly sustained entrepreneurial spirit. He recalled that economist and sociologist Joseph Schumpeter defined innovation as a new combination of new or existing knowledge, resources, equipment and other factors. "In essence, it is a process of creating added value through which new ideas are born and commercialised. And you need an entrepreneurial spirit to make things happen, especially good things. It's simply a proactive attitude that encourages you to seize your opportunities and turn your innovative ideas into reality." - and thanked the Széchenyi University for supporting the double-degree programme.
