Brief description of the programme:
The BSc Nursing and Patient care program provides students with a general and high-level knowledge of science related to nursing, health, health- and patient care, and social-mental sciences. Nurse students will equip the graduate nurse with the knowledge, skills, and attitude to deliver patients high quality, complex, essential care. They learn the organization, planning, and managing of nursing in health care, the nursing work, the research projects in nursing, and the supervision of quality assurance in nursing and patient care. Nursing education supporting interdisciplinary teaching, research, and innovation to create human resources of exceptional quality to serve global healthcare needs.
The B.Sc. The nursing program is based on the recognition of professional qualifications.
Structure of studies
The first year is dominated by basic biology subjects of human health sciences (e.g. Anatomy, Physiology and Pathophysiology, Cell biology and Histology, Molecular biology and Genetics, Microbiology, Public Health, and Epidemiology).
Then Nursing-specific theoretical and practical subjects (Internal Medicine and Nursing, Surgery and Nursing, Obstetrics-Gynecology and Nursing, Anesthesiology, Intensive Therapy and Nursing, Pediatrics and Nursing, Neurology and Nursing, Psychiatry and Nursing, Primary Health Care and Community Nursing, Oncology and Nursing.), as well as clinical practices (in Petz Aladár Hospital) follow.
The fourth year revolves practices and the thesis work. After successful final examination and the defence of the
thesis work, students receive BSc degree certificate in Nursing.
Language requirements
TOEFL 513 / IELTS 5.5 /oral examination, TOEFL IBT test score of 66 or any standardised international English language exam corresponding with Hungarian B2 at the Bachelors level and C1 at Masters level.
If there is no standardised English exam, the University relies on an online interview. Applicants not complying with language requirements must enrol in a preparatory language programme. After having completed the language course and passed the requisite final examination, if there are no professional reservations on the part of the Faculty, admission to the selected Bachelor's programme is automatic.

PEO#3: Familiar with the basics of meeting physiological needs, areas of psychology, principles, and characteristics of support work. Familiar with the basic concepts and tasks of management, the actors in the care system, and their scope of activity and responsibilities
PEO#4: Effectively communicates clearly and logically through written communication for professional delivery.
