Dr Zsolt Szepesváry, Vice-Dean of Faculty of Health and Sports Sciences of SZE receives Príma Award

Dr Zsolt Szepesváry, Vice-Dean for Development at the Faculty of Health and Sports Sciences of Széchenyi István University, Head of the Urology Department of the Aladár Petz University Teaching Hospital, was recognized in the Hungarian Science category at the Príma Awards ceremony in the former synagogue and concert hall of Széchenyi István University, in Győr-Moson-Sopron County.

The Príma Award is one of the most prestigious awards in the county, recognising the work of individuals who have demonstrated exemplary professional or public commitment. The gala, organised by the National Association of Entrepreneurs and Employers (VOSZ), took place in the concert hall of Széchenyi István University on 8 November. The ceremony, held in the former synagogue, saw the deserving winners awarded in several categories.

The Prima Award in the Hungarian Science category was given to Dr Zsolt Szepesváry, Head of the Urology Department at the Petz Aladár University Teaching Hospital, Vice-Dean for Development at the Faculty of Health and Sports Sciences of Széchenyi István University. Dr Zsolt Kovács, Vice-President for General and Educational Affairs, congratulated the recipient on behalf of the University. 

Dr Zsolt Szepesváry has played an outstanding role in ensuring that the Da Vinci surgical robot, which operates in Győr in cooperation between the University and the hospital, effectively serves the healing needs of people in the region and contributes to the University's pioneering research in cutting-edge technologies that are of significant benefit to society.

At the gala, the Entrepreneur of the Year award was presented to László Hirschler, owner-manager of Hirschler Automotive Glas Kft., Judit Kristóf, owner and managing director of AT-JU Pack Cargo Kft., and Zsolt Kovács-Csomor and Sándor Házi, owners and managing directors of Pannon-Mag-Agrár Kft. The event was also a chance to welcome the recipients of the National Entrepreneur of the Year Award from Győr-Moson-Sopron County, András Sámoly and Gábor Boda, the CEOs of MÉH Zrt.

The Outstanding Social Responsibility Award was presented to Dr Szabolcs Horváth, Director of the National Tax and Customs Administration of Győr-Moson-Sopron County. In the category of Hungarian Theatre and Dance Arts, Dr Tibor Mrekva, Artistic Director of the Óvári Gazdász Folk Dance Ensemble, was honoured. In the Hungarian Sports category, Attila Vanyus, Honorary Lifetime President for of the Győri Audi ETO KC women’s handball club and Co-Managing Director of Győri ETO Kft., received the Prima Award.
