Entering Hungary

 ENTRY REQUISITES AND QUARANTINE REGULATIONS OF FOREIGN STUDENTS

 

Széchenyi István University is kindly informing all its students, that in accordance with the latest newsletter of the Ministry of Technology and Innovation, the following rules came into force on 16 August 2021 in connection with the entry requisites and quarantine regulations of foreign students.

Entering Hungary without a quarantine obligation:

  • Who can certify, that within 6 months (s)he has recovered from COVID-19. The certificate should be dated no older than 72 hours from the date of the entry, needs to carry an original medical stamp and signature and needs to be written in English or Hungarian language.
  • Who carries a Hungarian Covid Immunity Card
  • Who carries an EU Digital Covid Certificate
  • Who carries a Covid Immunity Certificate issued by the following countries: Republic of Albania, Kingdom of Bahrain, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Republic of Northern Macedonia, Georgia, Republic of Croatia, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kingdom of Morocco, Republic of Moldova, Mongolia, Republic of Montenegro, Republic of San Marino, Republic of Serbia, Slovak Republic, Republic of Slovenia, Republic of Turkeyy, Ukraine, Republic of Uzbekistan, Cape Verde, Romania, Russia, Switzerland
  • Who can certify his/her immunity with a PCR test that indicates that the SARS-CoV-2 virus was not detectable in his body at the time of the test. The test should be dated no older than 72 hours from the date of the entry in Hungary, needs to carry an original laboratory stamp and signature and needs to be written in English or Hungarian language and needs to be issued by the following countries:
    Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Northern Macedonia, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Netherlands, Croatia, Ireland, Latvia, Poland, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Hungary, Malta, Montenegro, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, United States, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Chile, Czech Republic, Denmark, South Korea, United Kingdom, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Netherlands, Ireland, Iceland, Israel, Japan, Canada, Colombia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Luxembourg, Hungary, Mexico, Germany, Norway, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, New Zealand, Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, United States, United Kingdom, Northern Macedonia, Estonia, France, Greece, Netherlands, Croatia, Iceland, Canada, Le Norway, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Hungary, Montenegro, Germany, Norway, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Russia, People's Republic of China, United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Bahrain, Republic of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic , Republic of Turkey, Republic of Uzbekistan

  

Students who do not meet any of the above-mentioned requirements are obliged to undergo a 10-day quarantine. The quarantine obligation will be communicated to the student in an official decree issued by the Hungarian Police. The quarantine is required to be served at the place specified in the decree. The place provided by the University for the quarantine is the Accommodation Hall ’K4’. (9026, Győr, Egyetem tér 1.)

If you were ordered by the Hungarian authorities during your entrance to Hungary to undergo quarantine, be so kind and notify us at the following e-mail address: accommodation@sze.hu

In case you were not obliged to undergo quaratine by the Hungarian authorities, your Dormitory room keys can be obtained at the Accommodation Hall Office in building ’K1’, from 19 August to 10 September 2021, during workdays from 8:00 to 14:00 CEST time. After 10 September the keys can be obtained at the reception of building ’K1’, every day after 14:00 CEST and on the weekends.

Please note:

If necessary, please contact your airline or travel agency as well.

Széchenyi István University takes the protection of its students and staff against COVID-19 seriously.

For this reason:

  • The staff of the Accomodation Hall may check your immunity certificate, therefore please keep it with you.
  • Violation of the quarantine obligation may be severly fined and/or may result in the withdrawal of your residence permit.If you have not been vaccinated yet, you can register on the following website if you wish: https://vakcinainfo.gov.hu/

 

After the registration, you can also book the date by selecting the place of the vaccination and the type of the vaccine on the following website: https://www.eeszt.gov.hu/hu/covid-vaccination-booking

 

Once you have enrolled and you carry a valid student residence permit, a Hungarian protection card and the EUDCC can be requested.
