Focus on Sustainable Transport: Symposium for Industry Experts to Be Held at SZE

The third Sustainable Mobility and Transportation Symposium (SMTS) will be held at Széchenyi István University on 8 October. Jointly organised by the University’s Audi Hungaria Faculty of Automotive Engineering and the Vehicle Industry Research Centre, with the support of Robert Bosch Kft., the scientific event provides a forum for the presentation and discussion of latest research results in the automotive industry and transportation

Hosted at SZE’s Management Campus, SMTS focuses on the latest scientific and technological research findings in the development of sustainable, smart, and safe mobility. Conducted in English, the event provides professionals from the relevant fields with an opportunity to share their experience.

The symposium will bring to the fore, among others, current issues in artificial intelligence and control engineering, autonomous vehicles, vehicle diagnostics, electromobility, mechatronics, logistics, as well as vehicle development and manufacturing technology. The speakers' research covers key areas that shape the future of the vehicle industry and transport, including the development of intelligent and automated vehicle systems, the application of modern sensing and control solutions, advances in electric drive systems and energy storage technologies, as well as diagnostic methods and manufacturing technologies supporting vehicle reliability and safety. The programme also provides an opportunity to present scientific results related to the development of transport and logistics systems and the practical application of new vehicle industry technologies.

The event also aims to enhance the international visibility of high-quality academic work: the research presented will also appear in internationally indexed publications, further strengthening the University’s international standing in automotive and mobility research.
