Former Foreign Ministers lecture on sports diplomacy at Széchenyi István University's training day
The lastest day of the sports diplomacy training at Széchenyi István University was a special occasion, as two former foreign ministers visited the institution's Budapest Innovation and Training Centre and gave a lecture to the students. Representing the university, Dr. Barnabás Kovács, Professor Emeritus, Ambassador and founder of the training, welcomed the distinguished guests.
Dr. Géza Jeszenszky, Foreign Minister of the Antall and Boross governments, gave a fascinating and thought-provoking lecture on the foreign policy of Hungary in the 20th and 21st centuries. He was followed by an inspiring talk delivered by Alfonso Dastis, the Spanish Ambassador to Budapest and Spain's Foreign Minister from 2016 to 2018, through which the story of an extraordinary career was revealed.
