Forty million forints for two startups
At the joint Demo Day of the Startup Campus and Széchenyi István University in Győr, of the three startups that reached the final, the jury found two ideas worth investing in. The winners each received HUF 20 million from Hiventures Zrt., part of the MFB Group, and Quantum Leap Kft.
The Myspectra startup in Győr is developing a universal spectrometer. In many places in industry, such a device is used to study the physical and chemical composition of materials, which, however, are usually expensive, sometimes stationary, and can only be used in a specific field. In contrast, the new device will be portable, usable in any industry, and much cheaper to manufacture or maintain.

The Ultimate Waterprobe was also a success. The startup is developing a system that uses artificial intelligence to study the water quality of fishponds in real time and is able to predict deterioration in water quality, thereby preventing the currently regular occurrence of fish deaths resulting in substantial material damage.
This year, Széchenyi István University, together with its partners, announced the incubation programme for the second time, for which 25 startups applied. Nine of them were able to participate in the training programme and the three most promising teams made it to the finals.
