Hungary's first sports conference to be held with the participation of Széchenyi István University

The Sport Forum Hungary 2022 programme, which will bring together the representatives of the Hungarian sporting world, will feature presentations by renowned speakers, athletes, sports leaders, sports service providers, sports academy professionals and exciting round-table discussions. Széchenyi István University will present an overview of the relationship between sport and innovation and its role in higher education, as well as its successful student racing team and e-sport department. Sport Forum Hungary 2022, Hungary's premier sports conference, will take place on 20 October 2022 in the Business VIP rooms of the Puskás Arena. The aim of the event is to bring together the representatives of the Hungarian sports scene, from competitive to recreational sports. In addition to a comprehensive presentation of how the sporting world works, the event will highlight the various developments and innovation opportunities. 

Széchenyi István University offers high quality technical education and conducts ground-breaking research. Its activities confirm that technical innovations are indispensable in the world of motorsport, and that innovative technical developments are promising significant results. An excellent example of this is the student team Arrabona Racing Team, which has been presented at the University's Sports Forum and is a member of the Formula Student. The team has had a dream season, finishing on the podium in Austria, Hungary and the most prestigious race of the season in Germany. Visitors will be able to see this year's race car, which has been used to achieve the outstanding international results.

Visitors can also see the Formula Student racing car of the student team of Széchenyi István University Arrabona Racing Team

At the Sports Forum, Tamás Kolossváry, Head of the Centre for Innovation and Training of the Széchenyi István University in Zalaegerszeg, will give a presentation entitled "Sport and technical innovations in higher education". As a student, he was himself a participant in Formula Student and one of the founding members of the Arrabona Racing Team.

The e-sport department of the Széchenyi István University Sports Association (SZESE) will also be present at the event, where one of its simulators will be "involved" in the online Formula Student competition.

Among the speakers of the conference are such renowned personalities as Gábor Talmácsi, world champion in speed motorcycling (who is a lecturer and former student of Széchenyi University), Balázs Baji, world bronze medalist and European silver medalist Hungarian steeplechaser, the Deputy CEO of the National Sports Agency Zrt. Emese Szász, Olympic Champion in Paralympic fencing, Andrea Temesvári, Roland Garros winning tennis player, Tamás Mocsai, handball player, CEO of the National Handball Academy, Ottó Vincze, footballer, national football team, Minister Commissioner, Sándor Wladár, President of the Hungarian Swimming Federation, dr. Tamás Deutsch, President of the National Association of Sports Associations, Zsolt Csampa, President of the Hungarian Fencing Association, Dr. Ádám Schmidt, State Secretary for Sport, Máriusz Révész, State Secretary for Active Hungary, Pál Orosz, President of FTC Football Ltd., Oszkár Világi, owner of FC DAC 1904 and Gábor Wéber, sports commentator.
