Admission requirements
Standardised language requirements:
- TOEFL 513 / IELTS 5.5 /oral examination, TOEFL IBT test score of 66 or any standardised international English language exam corresponding with Hungarian B2 at the Bachelors level and C1 at Masters level.
- If there is no standardised English exam, the University relies on a online interview. Applicants not complying with language requirements must enrol in a preparatory language programme. After having completed the language course and passed the requisite final examination, if there are no professional reservations on the part of the Faculty, admission to the selected Bachelor's programme is automatic.
Professional requirements:
- Bachelor studies: Copy of secondary/high school graduation results, copy of courses studied. For the fields of engineering, agricultural and business and administration studies, evidence of the study of mathematics is required (school leaving certificate final results).
- Master studies: Bachelor’s degree relevant for the Master studies. Transcript of records of Bachelor studies.
- PhD: Master studies in a relevant field plus Transcript of Master studies.
The Centre of International Programmes pre-screens all applications that will be forwarded to the Faculties for a professional decision.
Formal requirements:
Only students over the age of 18 are admitted
All applicants must submit the following documents:
- completed and signed application form (Please ensure that your personal data appear correctly, as shown on your passport. The filled application form that you receive via email needs to be printed, signed and sent back by email.)
- a copy of your passport
- a notarized copy of the secondary high school diploma/Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree depending on the relevant application
- a notarized copy of the Transcript of Records
- a notarized copy of your language certificate
- a recent photograph
- Curriculum Vitae (resumé) in English
- Motivational Letter in English
- Academic Reference letter in English (Issued by your former academic institution/teacher)
PLEASE NOTE: NOTARIZED ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL WRITTEN DOCUMENTS EXCEPT THE PASSPORT. Notarization by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is necessary for every school leaving document or degree, language certificate and documents certifying English medium of instruction, even if the original is in English.
If the country of origin is a Member of the Hague Treaty, then Apostilled documents are required FOR ALL WRITTEN DOCUMENTS EXCEPT YOUR PASSPORT.
Notarization is necessary for every school leaving document, even if the original is in English.
Admission will only be granted on conditions of students complying with the professional, language and formal requirements of admission.
An application will only be considered if the application fee has been transferred to the bank account of the University and all the required documents detailed above are submitted.

Admission procedure:
For your information, our admission procedure looks the following:
- First you need to apply online and pay the 100 EUR application fee.
- After that we check your uploaded documents and if you fulfil the formal requirements we forward your application to the Faculty/Doctoral School for professional decision making.
- If the Faculty approves your application and you complete the language requirement, then we issue the Order for payment and you need to pay the first year's (2 semesters) tuition fee and the first month's accommodation fee of 130 EUR.
- Upon receiving the payment we issue the Admission Letter for you.
The University reserves the right to decide on the launching of the advertised programmes in accordance with the number of applicants meeting the admission requirements.
Applicants or their representatives will be duly notified of this decision for the academic year 2024/2025 by 26 July 2024

- Applicants will be duly notified of this decision for the Autumn intake of academic year 2025/2026 by 31 July 2025
