Job Fair: the Széchenyi István University also helps its students in their job search

The April Job Fair of Széchenyi István University was very popular among the students of the institution, who had the opportunity to get in touch with nearly fifty companies and institutions. Many of the young people find their internships and even jobs at the biannual event.

The Job Fair of Széchenyi István University offers students, graduates, career starters and qualified young people the opportunity to network with the labour market. Major economic players and employers in the region, as well as the university's industrial partners, presented themselves at their own stands.

"At the exhibition, our students had the opportunity to meet with nearly fifty companies, institutions and hundreds of open positions, i.e. internships and jobs. They were given a wide range of tips on how to find a job, write a CV, write a motivation letter or take part in an interview. Csilla Dallos, a former student of our institution, helped as a career counsellor, as did our Master's students in Human Resources Counselling on several occasions," said Effi Zentai, the university's career advisor, in response to our question.

She added that an interview booth was also set up next to the open stands, where HR professionals could talk to interested people right away. She stressed that the exhibition was not only aimed at university students: with the help of the Career Guidance and Marketing Centre, students from the Lukács Sándor Automotive and Mechanical Engineering Secondary Vocational School and Dormitory of Győr, for example, also attended the event in the main hall of the Győr campus.

"I attend the Job Fair every semester because there is a lot of useful information to be gained. All the exhibiting companies are very helpful, and you can find a job or an internship in many fields," said Levente Csajághy, a fourth-year student of Business Informatics at Széchenyi University. The 21-year-old was interested in the Techtra Technology Transfer Institute, a member of the Széchenyi University Group, because he is most interested in IT, software and hardware design, and the company offers excellent opportunities in these fields.

Sámuel Barcza, a third-year automotive engineering student, visited the event in search of a internship. "I would like to meet as many companies as possible and explore as many opportunities as possible. There are a good number of automotive companies at the exhibition, and their staff are helpful and explain everything. They have offered me several positions that I am interested in, so I may well choose one of them," he explained.
