At the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Transport Sciences, 128 students completed their studies, including the first Chinese student to graduate from the double-degree programme.

The graduation ceremony, held in the Győr City University Hall, was not only a farewell but also a celebration of accomplishments and a reaffirmation of the values of the engineering profession. In her address, Renáta Határ, Deputy State Secretary for Construction Economy, encouraged graduates to use their knowledge not merely as a technical solution but as a true creative force. "Building is creation, craftsmanship, and true passion. The world can be shaped by your hands in a way that makes people’s lives better," she stressed.

In his address, Dean Dr János Szép emphasized the diversity of the faculty in his address.
"A degree certificate alone is not enough—it must be backed by knowledge, ability and skills, which we have aimed to provide during your studies. Engineering is both a responsibility and a privilege," he said. "A building is not just concrete and bricks, a bridge is not merely steel and cables, a transport network is more than just pavement and signs. Behind all of these lie your knowledge and dedication." He also highlighted the achievements of the first graduate of the double degree programme, the faculty’s concrete canoe team, the SZEnavis team, and the pavilion construction project in Abásfalva, involving architecture and civil engineering students from the Winkler Gábor Vocational College for Advanced Studies under the mentorship of faculty members.

Graduates Máté Gerencsér and Khadiga Waheed Mohammed Anwar Al-Nagar delivered farewell speeches on behalf of the student body. Outstanding students were honoured during the ceremony. The Pro Progressum award (Certificate of Recognition) was presented to eight members of the SZEnavis team: Sára Béry, Máté Csaba Herman, Lizett Olívia Lampert, Brenda Netta László, Ákos Molnár, Kristóf György Nagy, Szonja Szakács, and Máté Bence Zsolnai (all undergraduate students in Civil Engineering).

Team member Máté Gerencsér (undergraduate, Civil Engineering) also received the Pro Progressum award and the Pro Auditoribus Diploma of Distinction, the latter shared with Boldizsár Molnár (undergraduate, Civil Engineering) and András Imre Óhidi-Légmán (undergraduate, Transportation Engineering) in recognition of their contributions to the University community.

At the Kautz Gyula Faculty of Business and Economics, 358 students were awarded degrees.

During the faculty’s graduation ceremony, the Dean, Dr Sándor Remsei, highlighted the University’s dynamic development and its achievements in international rankings, emphasizing the value of the knowledge acquired at the institution. "The popularity of our programmes is evident in the consistently high admission scores—well above 400 points. We are proud that the number of international applicants has doubled in recent years," he noted. Addressing the graduates, he stressed that they had acquired a solid foundation at Széchenyi University in Győr, and their next major challenge would be to apply their knowledge not only for personal success but also for the benefit of society.

László Attila Szabó, Director of Corporate Client Relations at OTP Bank Nyrt., remarked in his address that the financial sector is undergoing constant transformation. "Digitalization, artificial intelligence, sustainability—these are not future concepts but part of the present. This applies across all areas of the economy, including marketing, logistics, controlling, and international economics. Today, it is not enough to operate efficiently—one must create value, make responsible decisions, and understand how the world works," he emphasized. He added that he had worked with many “Kautz” graduates in recent years, who came to the job with strong professional foundations, curiosity and sound values. "They—and now you—are the leaders of the future. Do not be afraid to make decisions, to make mistakes, and above all, to remain human in an increasingly fast-paced, digitalized world," he advised the young graduates.

On behalf of the graduating class, Sára Kiss and Mohammed Abu Al-Rub delivered farewell addresses. During the ceremony, the Pro Auditoribus award (Certificate of Recognition) was awarded to Gréta Rachel Kováts (vocational higher education in Commerce and Marketing), Bence Szabó (Master’s in Management and Leadership), and Liliána Tóth (undergraduate in Business Administration and Management). Recipients of the Pro Auditoribus award (Diploma of Distinction) included Apollónia Babos (vocational higher education in Business Administration and Management), Veronika Bors (undergraduate, Business Administration and Management), Réka Kovács (Master’s in Management and Leadership), Orsolya Lukács (undergraduate, Tourism and Catering), Karolin Mosonyi (vocational higher education in Commerce and Marketing), Janka Luca Reider (undergraduate, Tourism and Catering), and Annamária Tar (Master’s in Marketing).
