The Higher Education Social and Economic Cooperation Conference, now in its eleventh year, recently reached another milestone, organized by Széchenyi István University's Department of Road and Railway Vehicles and the Automotive Industry Research Centre. This two-day scientific event, titled “Mobility and Environment”, focused on groundbreaking research in the automotive industry shaping the future.
As part of a career orientation day, primary school students visited Széchenyi István University, where they participated in lab tours, lectures, creative workshops, and even a Chinese language class. Due to the significant interest, the institution has developed a comprehensive service package that school groups can register for, even as an enriching class excursion programme.
As doctoral students at Széchenyi István University, Brúnó Péter, with his research in the automotive industry, and Dr Domonkos Tinka, with his healthcare-focused research, ranked among the top seven competitors out of dozens of applicants in the prestigious 3MT (Three-Minute Thesis) competition. Besides the University of Debrecen, Széchenyi István University was the only institution with two candidates selected by the prestigious panel for this exclusive group.
