When July arrives, it means it is time for the Audi Development Camp: jointly organized by Audi and Széchenyi István University, it is taking place for the third time. Participants from 22 countries have come together to learn from international experts while tackling real industrial problems in teams. Focussing on practical, project-based learning and preparing for the latest challenges in the automotive industry, this English-medium camp is truly exceptional in its subject matter and methodology.
Several researchers and lecturers from the Deák Ferenc Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of Széchenyi István University are involved in projects that examine regulatory issues in the field of defence and security. This field is becoming increasingly important as digitalisation advances.
The world events of recent years and the negative changes in the security environment have reassessed the role of security issues in scientific research. These researches concern a wide range of different disciplines, but like in many European countries, it has become clear in Hungary that besides technology and specific defence functions, the structure and regulation of the country's defence system is a key issue in the 21st century.
The SZE-SAT team of Széchenyi István University has developed a space device that is now orbiting in space and transmitting pre-programmed messages. The students used an antenna installed on the roof of the university's campus in Győr to capture the MRC 100 satellite, which also houses the university's communication panel.
The SZE-SAT section of the Jedlik Ányos Specialised College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Széchenyi István University undertook the task of creating a 30 by 30 by 3 millimetre panel to transmit short text messages to Earth in order to improve data communication within satellites.
