The chess department of the Széchenyi István University Sports Association (SZESE), which has been operating for 50 years, and the Győr Chess Club hosted the Spanish Club D Escacs Llinars and the Greek Skakistikos Omilos Leon Kantia on the campus of Győr in the framework of an international programme.
Budapest Design Week is an event of international importance, presenting all areas of the Hungarian design profession, which will be organised by the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency from 10 to 20 October this year. As part of the series of events, design students from Széchenyi István University had the opportunity to present their work in a group exhibition. The Győr-based institution's first Budapest exhibition, entitled “Formanyelvek (Principles of Form)”, opened on 10 October and was hosted by the nationally renowned Jászi Gallery.
Széchenyi István University hosted a major international event on the topics of economics, business and tourism. The Kautz Conference on Business and Economics, held between 10 and 12 October, brought together researchers from twenty-one countries from four continents to present their work on global challenges and to develop academic links.
