RECTOR IS PRESENTED WITH AWARD FROM MARYMOUNT UNIVERSITY, WASHINGTON DC
On 1st July, in the setting of the newly opened Management Campus Building of Széchenyi István University, Győr, Dr Péter Földesi, Rector of the University, was presented with a lifetime achievement award in recognition of his support of the recent collaboration agreement between Széchenyi István University and Marymount University, Washington DC.
Dr Földesi was not present to receive the award in person in May when it was originally conferred on the occasion of the 14th Charity Ball, organized under the auspices of American Hungarian Heritage House (AHHH), in Washington DC. At the above mentioned charity event in Washington, service awards were also bestowed on Dr László Szabó, Ambassador of Hungary to the United States, and on Dr Irma Becerra, the newly installed President of Marymount University, in recognition of their support of the collaboration initiatives between the two Universities.
