The Kautz Gyula Faculty of Business and Economics at Széchenyi István University recently organised its international business and economics conference, which this time explored the theme “Transforming Global Challenges into Opportunities.” The event focused on the economic, social, and corporate impacts of artificial intelligence, sustainability, and digital transformation.
The Business and Economics Conference of the Kautz Gyula Faculty of Business and Economics at Széchenyi István University is one of the most prestigious international scientific events in the region, providing an annual forum for Hungarian and foreigninternational researchers in the field of economics. Its aim is to create a distinguished platform for scientific dialogue, the sharing of research results, and the strengthening of international cooperation. During the three-day event, more than two hundred participants presented their latest research from 17 countries across three continents — from the United States and Brazil through Europe to India and Indonesia.
In her opening speech, Dr Eszter Lukács, Vice-President for International Affairs and Strategic Relations of the University, emphasised that such academic events not only strengthen professional dialogue but also contribute to the expansion of the institution’s international network. “Among our professional partners, the Integral University in India plays a prominent role. At the same time as our event, they are holding a conference on the same topic, and last year we jointly launched the double degree programme in International Economics and Business,” she said, adding that with the collaboration of the Academy of Marketing in Scotland, the University’s marketing programmes and research are also becoming increasingly visible internationally. The Vice-President highlighted that the continuous enhancement of scientific performance is one of the University’s strategic goals, serving not only progress in international higher education rankings but also the professional development of lecturers and researchers.
