Széchenyi István University establishes an educational-research partnership with Shandong Jiaotong University in China

The Széchenyi István University and the Shandong Jiaotong University of China signed a cooperation agreement at the Albert Kázmér Mosonmagyaróvár Faculty. The event laid the foundations for educational and research relations between the two institutions, which will also include the field of food and agriculture.

Széchenyi István University, one of the 600 best young universities in the world, maintains close links with a number of institutions. The aim of expanding the international academic network is to broaden the range of opportunities for students, teachers and researchers and to gain experience abroad. The recently signed agreement between Széchenyi University and Shandong Jiaotong University in China, which commits the two universities to long-term cooperation, also serves this purpose.

A three-member delegation from Santung, a regional institution with 13 faculties and more than 20,000 students, visited Mosonmagyaróvár to learn about the main teaching and research focuses of Széchenyi University.

The signing ceremony was attended by Zhao Dejian, Vice President of Shandong Jiaotong University, Fu Daochun, Director of the Campus and Development Office, Ma Jianhui, Head of Department of the International Office, and Tian Rui, President of the Central and Eastern Europe-China Cooperation and Development Association, Director of the Hungarian Liaison office of the Foreign Affairs Office of Santung Province, on behalf of the Chinese side. Managing Director Árpád Brányi was present on behalf of Pannon-Trade Ltd.

The cooperation agreement was signed by Zhao Dejian, Vice President of Shandong Jiaotong University and Dr. Tamás Tóth, Dean of the Albert Kázmér Mosonmagyaróvár Faculty of Széchenyi István University.

At the event, Széchenyi István University was represented by Dr. Tamás Tóth, Dean of the Albert Kázmér Mosonmagyaróvár Faculty, Dr. Hanczné Dr. Erika Lakatos, Deputy Dean for Innovation and Dr. Zoltán Molnár, Deputy Dean for International and Scientific Affairs.

With the cooperation agreement, the two universities have mutually expressed their intention to deepen their educational and research relations, for which the Central and Eastern Europe-China Cooperation and Development Association provides the framework.
