SZE won the national dragon boat competition

Shortly after Széchenyi István University won both the men's and women's decathlon events of the Hungarian National University Championships (MEFOB), the institution has achieved another national success, this time in dragon boat racing. The team from Győr was able to stand on the top step of the podium at the university regatta. The SZE students scooped another seven gold medals at the Hungarian National Championships.

In the last month or so, the success of our University has been the focus of the news in the Hungarian university sports scene. At the beginning of May, the institution not only organised the MEFOB Festival, the biggest Hungarian university sports event, to a high standard, but also proved to be the best Hungarian higher education institution with 21 gold medals. Shortly afterwards, the University also hosted the Hungarian Basketball National University Championships, where the women's team won the silver medal and the men's team finished fourth. This was followed by the MEFOB decathlon, where both the men's and women's events were won by the institution's students.

At the beginning of June, the University's athletes achieved another success: they won the Hungarian kayak-canoeing championship in the university regatta category at the Fadd-Dombor kayak course in close competition in stormy conditions.
