Széchenyi István University successfully represented Hungary at the Korea Drone Expo 2024
The experts of SZE recently participated in the Korea Drone Expo 2024, a programme organised in Songdo, South Korea, where representatives of the drone technology sector presented their latest developments. The presentation from our representatives at the event was a great success and contributed to the international recognition of Hungarian drone technology.
At the South Korean drone expo, Hungary was represented by the staff of the Digital Development Centre of Széchenyi István University, who built valuable contacts in the Far Eastern country. At the large-scale event, nearly sixty companies presented their products and services, and participants were able to listen to around forty professional presentations on the present and future of drone technology.
Széchenyi István University was represented by Dr. Krisztián Mikula (second from left), Dr. István Drotár (second from right) and Olivér Takács (first from right).
The participation of the Győr residents took place with the assistance of István Lajos Musza, Science and Technology Counsellor of the Embassy of Hungary in Seoul, and Dr Krisztián Mikula, an expert of the Digital Development Centre. “The expo provided a great opportunity to meet with Helsel, a South Korean company that is a prominent manufacturer of football-drones and other applications. Its representatives had previously held a highly successful drone football demonstration at Széchenyi University in Győr as part of OGEX and PlayIT. The meeting confirmed our common intention for future cooperation, which will greatly contribute to the promotion of drone football as an e-sport in Hungary. In addition, our delegation was able to hold meaningful professional discussions with the Korean Testing Laboratory and other potential partners,” said Dr. István Drotár, Head of the University's Digital Development Centre.
