The youth ice hockey team from Ingolstadt learnt about the development of SZE
In the spirit of strengthening the international and sports relations of Széchenyi István University, the U20 ice hockey team of Ingolstadt, the twin city of Győr, visited the institution. The young sportsmen and sportswomen got to know the modern infrastructure of the University of Győr and the diverse opportunities it offers.
The Audi-supported U20 youth ice hockey team from Ingolstadt, Germany visited Széchenyi István University. The athletes took part in a campus tour, where they discovered the modern infrastructure and academic environment of the institution, as well as the varied and high-quality study opportunities it offers. The staff of the International Programmes and Alumni Centre also presented the university and the very close cooperation with Audi Hungaria, which goes back several decades. They also had the opportunity to get a brief taste of student life, as they were able to take part in the ongoing Freshers' Week events.

"This visit is an excellent opportunity to further strengthen our relationship and promote cultural cooperation between our communities. The doors of our institution are open to young talent from Ingolstadt. Whether it's for a bachelor or master's programme in English, longer exchanges or short-term programmes, Széchenyi University offers them a wide range of opportunities."– Márta Mészáros Head of the International Programmes and Alumni Centre said.
The visit of the team from Ingolstadt is significant for several reasons. In addition to the importance of the twin cities meeting, the presence of German young people is also crucial for Széchenyi University, which could be the start of a fruitful cooperation in education and sports relations. The Győr-based institution is home to numerous sporting successes, is committed to sport and healthy lifestyle, and is working innovatively to continuously expand its wide-ranging international relations.

Besides the university, the juniors from Ingolstadt could also visit the Nemak Ice Hall in Győr, where they played twice against the UNI Győr ETO HC U21 team. Both matches were exciting battles and resulted in away wins: the German youngsters returned home with a 4-3 and 4-2 victory.
