SZE’s engineering degree gave István Biró not only a paper but also professional experience

As a man from Budapest, István Biró chose Széchenyi István University in Győr. He was looking for an institution that offered practice-oriented courses, so that he would have professional experience when he graduated. He graduated two years ago with a Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering and almost immediately went on to study for a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. During his studies, István Biró also took on a number of extra tasks, including the development of an application for improving spatial vision, which gained recognition at the National Scientific Student Conference (OTDK). Currently, he is working at Jaguar Land Rover Hungary Kft. as an ADAS testing engineer.

The 5G Coalition is five years old

The 5G Coalition was founded five years ago and currently has 89 member organisations. The aim is to help Hungary become a world leader in the deployment, take-up and practical use of 5G. Within the Digital Development Centre, priority is given to developments in transport, agriculture and healthcare. The mission of the 5G Coalition is to demonstrate and communicate the benefits of 5G technology to society and the economy. 5G will boost the economy and sustainable development, contributing to a greener and more liveable environment. Since its creation, the 5G Coalition has held more than 80 working group meetings and 13 professional workshops.

Smart Health: SZE’s researchers give an insight into latest developments

The rehabilitation of patients, the efficiency of data transfer for patient care, and the work of doctors and healthcare workers are supported by the developments on which researchers from Semmelweis University, development engineers from Széchenyi István University and doctors from the Petz Aladár University Teaching Hospital in Győr are working together in the Thematic Area of Excellence Programme (TKP), launched by the National Research, Development and Innovation Fund. The participants held a scientific/technical seminar, including a presentation, on the results of their state-of-the-art medical research, which have also been recognised at the international level.
