Every semester, Széchenyi István University welcomes dozens of international students under the Erasmus+ programme. Katharina Schmidt, a Master's student, came to Győr with the mobility application and returned home to Germany with a wealth of experiences after a busy spring semester. The young girl, who is studying to become a packaging technology engineer, considers the vibrant student life to be the greatest strength of the Győr university, alongside the progressive teaching practices of the institution.
Széchenyi István University continues to strengthen its role in the ZalaZONE Park in Zalaegerszeg, next to the most modern automotive test track in Central Europe. Another important step in this direction was the inauguration of two new buildings of the institution in the presence of Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade and member of the Board of Trustees of the Széchenyi István University Foundation. In connection with this event, the university signed a cooperation agreement with the Bosch Group in Hungary.
The symbolic naming ceremony, which took place last Friday, marks the academic, educational and infrastructural renewal of the faculty that found a new home at the university six years ago. The faculty will serve students and the region with a much greater emphasis on sustainability, agricultural digitisation, rural development and modern food technologies.
