As part of a career orientation day, primary school students visited Széchenyi István University, where they participated in lab tours, lectures, creative workshops, and even a Chinese language class. Due to the significant interest, the institution has developed a comprehensive service package that school groups can register for, even as an enriching class excursion programme.
As doctoral students at Széchenyi István University, Brúnó Péter, with his research in the automotive industry, and Dr Domonkos Tinka, with his healthcare-focused research, ranked among the top seven competitors out of dozens of applicants in the prestigious 3MT (Three-Minute Thesis) competition. Besides the University of Debrecen, Széchenyi István University was the only institution with two candidates selected by the prestigious panel for this exclusive group.
A groundbreaking research initiative involving Széchenyi István University is underway, with the University playing a key role in a European Union project that deploys a satellite to monitor drought-prone regions across Hungary. As part of this initiative, the University's Albert Kázmér Faculty in Mosonmagyaróvár is analysing data received from space to better understand and mitigate the impacts of drought.
