On Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 May, Széchenyi István University was proud to host two educational advisors from the Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands.
Based in the Delft University’s Teaching Academy, Ms Johannetta Gordijn and Ms Alexia Lusing came to Győr with the purpose of introducing the University Teaching Qualification (UTQ) and delivering two pilot training courses to members of the university’s teaching staff.
On 18th May 2019, the 14th Charity Ball, organized under the auspices of American Hungarian Heritage House, Washington, was held at the Sheraton Premiere Hotel. During the evening, service awards were conferred on Dr László Szabó, Ambassador of Hungary to the United States, Dr Irma Becerra, President of Marymount University and Dr Földesi Péter, Rector of Széchenyi István University, Győr, in recognition of their support of recent collaboration initiatives between the two Universities.
Organised by Széchenyi István University’s Student Union (HÖK) in collaboration with the Győr branch of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN), on 30 th April a “Food Night” for international students was held in the University’s on-campus Széchenyi Restaurant. Around 80 students attended the event, which was in the form of a cookery competition with national teams from a dozen countries competing to produce the best dishes from their national cuisines.
