Dr Norbert Fogarasi, Managing Director of the Hungarian office of Morgan Stanley, was the guest of the "Spinoff Extra" series of events at Széchenyi István University, where he gave an inspiring talk about his life. A former chess champion in Canada, he shook hands with Bill Gates as an intern, helped to develop his firm in Tokyo and London, and then helped establish the Budapest office. In addition to business, he supports noble causes and, as a man of faith, emphasises the importance of service.
An international conference on sustainable mobility and transport, co-organised by the Audi Hungaria Faculty of Vehicle Engineering and the Automotive Industry Research Centre at Széchenyi István University, brought together automotive researchers and industry experts to present their latest findings. The three-day event featured participants from the US, France, Italy, Germany among others.
At first glance, it might seem like an additional requirement, but the "Mathematics 0" course introduced by Széchenyi István University in several degree programmes from the spring semester serves to fill gaps in fundamental numeracy skills, thereby facilitating successful completion of foundational and professional subjects. Essentially, the institution offers free tutoring to students, allowing them to earn their degree in three and a half years with greater confidence, without incurring extra costs for themselves or their families.
