On Saturday 13th July, following the University’s formal degree conferment ceremony, international graduate students from fifteen nations celebrated their achievement in a special reception hosted by the Rector of Széchenyi István University, Dr Péter Földesi.
On 1st July, in the setting of the newly opened Management Campus Building of Széchenyi István University, Győr, Dr Péter Földesi, Rector of the University, was presented with a lifetime achievement award in recognition of his support of the recent collaboration agreement between Széchenyi István University and Marymount University, Washington DC.
Dr Földesi was not present to receive the award in person in May when it was originally conferred on the occasion of the 14th Charity Ball, organized under the auspices of American Hungarian Heritage House (AHHH), in Washington DC. Consequently, Mr Stefan J. Fedor, President of American Hungarian Heritage House and member of the Board of Trustees at Marymount University, together with Mrs Erika Fedor, Board Member of AHHH, took the opportunity to hand over the prestigious award during their recent visit to Széchenyi István University.
