This year marks the fifth year of Győr’s only permanent open-air stage, the Bridge Garden. Between May and October, the country’s most popular performers take to the banks of the Danube Moson, allowing audiences to enjoy almost every major act from Hungary’s light music scene. The courtyard of the Széchenyi István University student club opened its gates on 9 May with a performance by 30Y and will close the season on 11 October with a concert by Tankcsapda.

A delegation from the Embassy of the United States of America in Hungary recently visited Széchenyi István University. Robert Palladino, the chargé d'affaires, who assumed office in March, and his colleagues became acquainted with the University's key research and development focus areas, met with students, and spoke appreciatively about its forward-looking initiatives.

Győri Audi ETO KC, having completed a fantastic season, held its end-of-year partner event at Széchenyi István University’s Győr Innovation Park on 3 June. After winning the Hungarian championship, the women's handball team also triumphed in the Champions League Final4, reclaiming their position at the top of European handball.
