The opening of the Pedró-Inno Bakery and Bistro at the Innovation Park of Széchenyi István University in Győr serves both the citizens of the university and the city. The shop, which was officially opened on 24 April and offers quality food and drinks, is a joint venture between Pannon Famulus Ltd, wholly owned by the institution, and Pedró Pékség Ltd.
On 26 April, a total of 26 top officials from 14 foreign states' representations in Hungary, including four ambassadors, were hosted by Széchenyi István University. The Széchenyi István University has signed a cooperation agreement with the HUN-REN Centre, responsible for the management and operation of the independent research network, and its Research Centre for Energy Sciences, Research Centre for Natural Sciences and for Research Institute for Earth Physics and Space Sciences. Nearly half a thousand competitors from 20 countries competed for the championship titles at the Olympic qualification national championships held in the Duna Arena in Budapest between 9-12 April. The competitors of the UNI-Győr Swimming Sports Club won 8 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze medals in the extremely strong field. This year's Digital Agricultural Fair, one of the most important agricultural events in the region, was held at the Széchenyi István University's Albert Kázmér Faculty of Mosonmagyaróvár, on 10 April. Among the exhibitors were the most important market players of the sector, as well as the research and educational units of the university. The aim of the programme is to enable the future generation of young farmers to learn about and apply digitisation and precision farming solutions to the whole food production process.

The satellite construction section of the SZESAT Interdisciplinary Special College of the Széchenyi István University has achieved a significant international success by being the first Hungarian university team to qualify for the European Space Agency (ESA) Fly Your Satellite! programme. At a workshop in the Netherlands, the students of the institution presented the current stage of their SZESAT-1 satellite.
Széchenyi István University is striving to become the number one higher education institution in Hungary in the field of motor sport. In this spirit, the Uni Győr WMS go-kart team was established at the beginning of the year, which was announced at a press conference on 28 March. Patrik Lipovics was also introduced at the event, the KMS Europe karting team's driver and winner of last year's RMC Hungary championship, who will also be working more closely with the university in the future.

The Hungarian University-College National Championship or MEFOB Festival, will be held in Győr, Hungary, with more than a thousand participants in thirteen sports. The ambassadors of the event, students from the host Széchenyi István University - Dalma Sebestyén, Olympic swimmer, Bence Szabó, world and European silver medallist rower and Zalán Lang, captain of the Győr men's handball team - are raising awareness of the importance of physical activity and urging everyone to come to Győr to the biggest Hungarian university and college sports event.

Makszim Dmitrovich Krat Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship student from Ukraine has been dedicated to get admitted to Széchenyi István University, and has taken advantage of the institution's free language courses to learn English and continue his studies here. Dr Bihari Mihály, a jurist, Doctor of Political Science, Professor Emeritus of Széchenyi István University, and former President of the Constitutional Court, received the Széchenyi Award for his outstanding role in establishing Hungarian political science education, significant contributions in the fields of science, teaching, and educational administration, as well as for his foundational role in organizing Law Education at the university level in Győr.
In a dignified ceremony, Széchenyi István University commemorated the events of the 1848–49 Revolution and War of Independence. During the event, doctoral degrees were conferred, and prestigious awards were presented to individuals whose work has significantly contributed to the development of the institution.
The University Library and Archives of Széchenyi István University, which turns 50 this year, is constantly developing and expanding its services. Defining a framework for teaching arts and culture was the theme of the UNESCO World Conference on Arts and Culture in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, in February.
